Types of Veneers
The composition of veneers makes them highly customizable, enabling dentists to make them as similar to the natural tooth as possible.
Composite Veneers
These veneers are made from a combination of a durable resin material and powdered glass filler. The resin serves as the bonding agent for composite veneers, making them suitable for treating more complicated teeth.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain is an inert material, which makes it excellent for making dental prosthetics. A porcelain veneer is fabricated using a milled ceramic powder combined with water and polymer. Porcelain veneers are strong, durable, and resistant to stains and wear. They can be easily matched to the color of your natural teeth.

How Are Veneers Applied?
When you visit our dental practice for the procedure, we will examine your teeth thoroughly and take digital X-rays to check for dental problems. If any such issues are detected during this examination, we will address them during this visit. Otherwise, we will explain to you the procedure for applying veneers.
We will first clean your teeth thoroughly to remove all traces of plaque and tartar deposits before starting the procedure. Then, we will numb the affected area by applying local anesthesia. A thin layer of enamel is removed from the front surface of your teeth to make space for the new restorations. This thin layer is not enough to affect the overall health of your tooth as it has ample enamel below it that can be used in restoring it if required.
We take precise digital impressions of your tooth which is sent to the dental laboratory for fabricating the custom-made veneer. Once this is done, we will fit it into place and check its fit and appearance before permanently bonding it to your tooth structure with dental adhesives.
